Changes: Where we’ve been, where we are, where we are going.

I have been in a reflective mood over the last few months. As some of you may be aware, I cancelled the HighPoint Overland Podcast on October 3, 2023. Upon cancellation, I deleted the entire archive of episodes created over 2.5 years. I won’t go into all the reasons why I made this decision to walk away from the podcast, only to say, I was feeling burned out and I no longer enjoyed it. It had become more of a burden than something I enjoyed.

An unexpected turn

A little over 90 days has passed since I unplugged the mic. I felt an immediate weight lifted off my shoulders and initially I was very happy with my decision. However, after about 30 days, I began to miss it. This really wasn’t what I expected to happen. I immediately started hearing from listeners asking when a new episode was coming. These messages occurred on a daily basis. A common thread in these messages was that my perspective was a breath of fresh air and resonated with them. They looked forward to hearing me share my opinion on what’s going on in the overland “community”. Many also said they didn’t agree with me 100% of the time, but they appreciated my opinions. All of these comments struck a chord with me and it got me to thinking. I wondered if there was a way to bring it back and make it fun again. Stay tuned……..

I’m back!
