Cooking
The equipment that makes up our kitchen kit is pretty diversified. From our GSI ultra light backpacking burner to our amazing Tembo Tusk Skottle. A neat little twist for the Skottle is to use a small wire trivet to cook pizzas on, homemade of course. I have owned my Coleman Oven for over 25 years and have recently purchased an Omnia Camp Oven and can’t wait to give it a try. We love to use our Lodge Dutch Oven in the campfire. You can never go wrong with cast iron!
Storage
Airscape Vacuum Sealed Coffee Canister
Once we used the Airscape canisters for the first time we were hooked. They completely seal to prevent moisture or humidity to affect sugar, coffee grounds, spices etc.
We love our Sidio storage crates. They come with dividers and a lid and they stack. We keep dry goods, our Airscape canisters in one and fuel canisters, fire starter, etc in another.
Dinnerware, utensils, misc.
GSI Microlite 12oz Coffee Tumbler
Barebones Dinner Plates (pair)
Sea to Summit Alpha Light Cutlery Set
We use this to strain the food out of our dishwater. We then take the food bits and put them in the trash, then dump the dishwater (away from water sources and preferably in a cat hole)
This pump fits perfectly on top of the water container with a PVC reducing hub. I will be uploading a video very soon on Youtube showing how I made ours. This pump is so much better than using the spout that comes with the water container.
Last word……
Thank you for taking the time to check out our kitchen set up. We have gone through a lot of gear over the years and I think we finally have an awesome set up. Although, I saw this really cool…….
